We were soooooo close to welcoming our Aussie mates back to Beervana this year and with Kegstar we’d been working on bringing four breweries and their brewers to New Zealand.

Unfortunately with Aussie in lockdown and the bubble suspended, the brewers can’t be with us but surprisingly we’ve managed to get their beer onto a ship and straight to the festival. 

KEGSTAR KEG

Kegstar & Beervana have had a long-standing relationship, and 2021 sees this continue with Kegstar’s Australian Showcase bar.

This years lineup boasts a number of the leading lights of the Australia brewing scene - Black Hops Brewery (QLD), One Drop Brewing (NSW), Otherside Brewing Co. (WA) and Stone & Wood Brewery (NSW).

These four breweries have been hand picked to represent Australia at Beervana 2021 and if one thing is for sure they will not disappoint! 

Kegstar rent tech-enabled one-way stainless steel kegs to drinks producers. Each keg has its own unique identity making it easily tracked through the supply chain. We’re all about getting more great brews to more happy drinkers through quality, well-maintained keg fleets.

BLACK HOPS BREWERY, QUEENSLAND

 

We are Black Hops, Australia's 2018 AIBA Champion Small Brewery, and 2019 and 2021 RQFWS Champion Brewery. Black Hops started as a simple idea over a beer with 3 good mates Dan, Eddie and Govs. That lead to the first Black Hops beer, the Eggnog Stout. A few years on, we have a team of 60+ legends, a brewery and a taproom in Burleigh Heads and Biggera Waters and our beer in 1,000+ venues and bottle shops Australia wide. Who knew beers at the pub could be so productive!

One Drop Brewing Co. is inspired by the same foundational ideals of Reggae Music with its signature One Drop beat.  The same ideas of community, humanity, one love, free-thinking and unique creative self-expression inspire us. It is what beats within that allows us all to connect to community, freedom, love of life, and love of good times. 

One Drop is all about freedom, love and going with the flow; with great tunes, tasty food and amazing beers, all perfect to chill with and take in the vibes.

OTHERSIDE BREWING CO., WESTERN AUSTRALIA

 

Hailing from Fremantle, Australia – the birthplace of Australian craft brewing – Otherside was started by a bunch of music industry mates who love good beer without the BS. Otherside approached Block to help them grow their audience and create a brand story and architecture that could span both their hospitality and brewing operations.

Otherside Brewing Co. has been on quite a journey – from a one-off brew for a music festival to a rapidly growing 'gypsy' brewer – and now we are taking our biggest leap yet with the opening of the Otherside Brewery & Brewhouse.
